Black & White with color

ISO: 800
F/3.5
1/40
This Photo was created as a black and white with color. I wanted to use the leaves changing colors because they really stand out and are striking. this one was created in photoshop.

ISO: 200
F/29
4.0
This Black and white with color was created in bridge with raw using the adjustment brushes. I liked creating the image better in raw because i could manipulate things easier and it was just simpler for me to use. i really like the outcome of this, and how the colors of the shed pop against its black and white surroundings.

Layered Negatives

For our film assignment this week we had to layer negatives together to make one picture. I chose one negative that was the background scenery of the trees and the rocky hill, and layered it underneath the negative of the puppy. In the dark room i used 8 seconds exposure, and no filter. i like the fact that the puppy was standing on the grass, and then you can see that in the final pront on the rocky hill, it adds to it in my opinion.

Toning (film)

Film

Print

I printed out this picture, on a 16x10 and then cut it into 6 equal sized pieces. the top left corner i used red, and only left it in for a couple seconds so the hew wasn't that bright, i wanted it to be subtle. The top right corner i put in red for a little bit until i could just barely notice the red hues coming through, the i rinsed it and put it into the blue. This one is my favorite that i did. I really like how the red and blue shows up in it. The middle left i put in bleach to make things fade away, then i washed it, and then put it in toner and it brought all the detail back and created a sepia. The middle right i put in just the blue. I didn't like how blue it came out, so i experimented with this one and tried to take some of the color out and fade it by putting it into the bleach, then i put it into the toner to try and bring a little detail back. This didn't work so well, the bleach made it look really faded, and then the toner made it spotty looking, like someone spilt coffee on it. The bottom left was in yellow but the yellow didn't show up so then i put in in the blue. The bottom right is just red; the same as the top left just left in the color longer and made the hue much deeper.

Drawing from a photo (film)

Film

Print

This photo i printed with a 2 1/2 filter, for 7 seconds exposing the light. when my picture was developed and dry i drew in important detail i wanted to keep with sharpie, then i put it in bleach while the picture started to fade away only leaving some really dark areas and the sharpie that i drew. Im happy with how it came out because there is still a lot od detail in it and still looks like a photo.

Reverse (film)

Film

Print

I used my print from my perfect picture to create my reverse print. to do this, i put my regular print facing down and another paper underneath it, facing toward the side with the print. i thought this came out really cool and looks nice as a negative because if all the contrast in it, it still has a lot of detail.

Perfect Picture (film)

This is my perfect picture in film, i used this one as my perfect picture because i thought it was really strong and detailed and the contrast in it is good as well. I used a 3 filter and exposed the light for 5 seconds.

Glass Challenge

For this Glass Challenge i used these 3 glasses because i really liked the color and uniqueness of them. I had the light coming from the right side where the green glass is, and because of that green light was reflecting onto the blue glass, and i really liked the way that looked.
